The mines run tours three times a day taking visitors on a guided mine tour deep into the heart of a lakeland mountain. The latest attration at Honister is likely to appeal to thrill seekers. The via feratta route allows the average person to go way beyond their normal limits on a mountain by scaling a cliff attached to a safety cable using safety equipment. It is safe and exillerating.
