Annual Parking Permit for Lake District National Park

You do not have to visit the Lake District many times before the parking charges start to stack up. If you do a tour of the Lakes and drop into several car parks it can work out extremely expensive. There may be a way to save money for the regular visitor to the region, though at £170 a year you might have to think carefully.

Cost of car parking in The Lake District

These days car parking prices are a real bind. You can avoid paying the £4.80 daily charge at National Trust car parks around the Lake District by joining the trust. An individual membership costs around £30 for a year and also gives you free entrance to their properties. It is well worth doing if you are even just an infrequent visitor.

Day membership at Langdale Leisure

It is a little known gem that the Langdale Leisure club in Elterwater allows day membership for ₤7. On a wet day this is a great place to head for!
