Walk - low level fell
Walla Crag
Starting at Great Wood National Trust car park we headed up towards Falcon Crag ascending through the woods up steep but well formed steps. From an early stage you afford views through the trees accross Derwent Water to Catbells and Causey Pike. Upon reaching the level of Walla Crag you follow easy rolling grassy footpaths with a superb panorma unfolding in all directions. To the south the whole of Borrowdale becomes visible, to the North Skiddaw and its neighbours. At the top of the Crag you get one of the easiest best views in Cumbria.
