Langdale Pikes from Windermere
On Rayrigg Road A592 heading towards Ambleside from Bowness is an excellent viewpoint where you can see over the lake towards the Langdale Pikes. During summer the sun sets over the Langdale Pikes viewed from here, a spectacular view! During the day there is often an ice cream van parked here too!
Elterwater
Idyllic village set amongst some of the most quintisential lakeland scenery with the Langdale Pikes making an impressive backdrop. Home to one of my favourite pubs, The Brittania Inn, and an excellent base for exploring Langdale valley, Coniston and Ambleside without having to be amongst the crowds.
Judy Boyes, local water colour atrist, also has a really nice studio in the village which features many of her original art works and has fine art reproductions and prints for sale.
