Appleby Fair gets new web site
Running from the 4-10 June 2009 The Appleby Fair is a superb event attracting thousands of people to the area both spectators, Gypsies and Travellers alike. The event is a unique opportunity to mingle amongst 10,000 Gypsies and Travellers with their horse and Romany Caravans.

Cartmel is a superb quite village which is popular for the pubs, The Sticky Toffee Pudding shop, the Cartmel Steeplechases and the ancient Priory. The gatehouse below is owned by the National Trust but is now only open on special event days.
