Braithwaite is a perfect little village just beyond the bustle of Keswick but perfectly located for exploring the Northern fringes of the Lake District.
As a village of wide ranging variety Braithwaite can seem far bigger than it actually is with three distinct areas: a modern area to the North, plusher properties to the south and a traditional centre. Consequently there are many pleasant surprises to be found round every corner and something for everyone.
