Dentdale Meadow

Dentdale meadows lie in the Western Dales, partly in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. Dent is extremely scenic during spring when the meadow flowers litter the valley.

Dent is also the home to Dent Brewery makers of some of the finest brews in Cumbria.

There are a couple of great pubs in the village, several excellent cafes and the windy cobbled street takes you back to bygone times. Its character is far different from the busier Lake District, this is partly due to the geography being mostly limesonte, but maybe also due to the character of the people being closer to Yorkshire.

The walking in the area is mostly easy going, there are some superb walks along the river and some open high walking on the surrounding fells.
