Perched on top of a rise between Hawkshead and Ambleside is the famous Drunken Duck, a fine country pub. Offering accommodation, fine real ales and excellent dining this place is a must.

During the summer if you are lucky enough to find an available table sit outside opposite the front entrance and absorb the superb view down over Ambleside and accross to Fairfield whilst sipping on one of the excellent properly conitioned ales.

In Winter cosy up to the roaring fire beyond the bar and tuck into a bowl of warming sticky toffee pudding!
