This characterful little cafe set in an ancient building still mostly in orignal condition is a perfect place to escape the busy atmosphere of Kendal. Set in a yard reached through a side door and an alley way it could easily be missed. Keep an eye out for the sign (pictured) on Branthwaite Brow near The Famous Chocolate House 1657.

Emmas at Yard 46 will appeal to anyone wanting to sit by an open fire and enjoy traditional teas and coffees with yummy cake. About as old fashioned and cosy as you can get in Kendal, a friendly convivial atmosphere with table service. Highly recommended.
