Hesketh Newmarket

Hesketh Newmarket is a quaint little Eden village with real heart. This tiny place has a real community feel and a warmth of charater which will appeal to anyone wishing to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the usual trappings of the tourist centres.

The charming little tea rooms which has a toilet down the street, the ancient pub which is owned by the villagers and serves beer which is brewed in the back yard make this place a wonderful experience to visit. Prince Charles has a fondness with Hesketh Newmarket, I can see why.

There are plenty of things to do in the area, the village is close neighbours with Caldbeck, another fine village. Many of the farmers in close proximity have recently developed excellent tourism businesses as a consequence of the hard times following foot and mouth. The area is certainly thriving now and a fascinating place to explore.
