Hutton in the Forest
Hutton in the Forest is a period Country House set in beautiful grounds and is situated near Penrith. It is one of the most impressive country houses in Cumbria yet few people know of it, heading for the central lakes instead. Those with an interest in gardening will find the herbaceous borders and extensive woodland grounds of particular interest. Hutton in the Forest Horse Trials The Hutton in the Forest horse trials were established for 2006, this year 500 horse and rider combinations will compete in 12 sections. Top riders such as Ian Stark, Caroline Powell and Karen Dixon will be invited to take part in the event. Opening times It is worth checking before visiting that the hall is open since I have noted on many occasions they are closed on bank holidays and other days you might expect them open.
