Kirkstone Pass

The Kirkstone Pass between Ambleside and Kirkstone Summit is a thrilling drive and takes you high into superb Lakeland scenery allowing you to see down Windermere to the south. Make sure you take the opportunity to stop half way up so that you can stop and gaze at the view. You really can't fully appreciate these things from your car!
