Pooley Bridge
Situated at the north end of Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is a popular busy village either as a base for touring the northern Lake District or as a stopping off poin on the Ullswater Steamers. The jettee pictured above is situated just outside of the village but is only a short walk away. The village benefits from a number of good cafes and a few pubs .
The Ullswater boats do curcuits of the lake stopping at various points including Glenridding. This offers the perfect opportunity to view explore another village and view mountain scenery at a more leisurely pace without the need to use your car.
