Needs location.

Being the highest lakeland peak the rocky summit of Scafell is one of the most often trod in Cumbria. From the top you get clear views over the Irish sea certainly as far as the Isle of Man. On a clear day you can see Blackpool tower.

Scafell can be approached from a host of directions. The quickest and most steep is from Wasdale. The most gradual is from Borrowdale direction.

We have a Scafell Pike Webcam on this site which is a fantastic way to see what conditions are before you plan a day out!
