Skiddaw
height:
931m
Skiddaw is the third highest summit in The Lake District. The peak stands alone and provides a stunning backdrop to Keswick to the North. It often catches the snow and is a relatively easy peak to achieve since it is fairly rounded and does not have the craggy nature of Helvellyn or Scafell Pike. For this reason it is not so highly regarded by many. However, it provides a most superb vantage point from which to enjoy the spectacular vista which is the Northern Lake District. Skiddaw is pictured here from Castelrigg Stone Circle.
