This tiny settlement sits at the end of a side valley towards the far end of Borrowdale. The Langstrath Inn was originally a 1590 miner's cottage but has been transformed into a cosy pub which is popular with walkers.

There is a tiny and ever so cute cafe in the end of one of the houses in the village on the opposite side to the pub. There is beary enough room for a few chairs and you are served through a hatch to the cafe owners house. Full of character.
