Wansfell is a great easy low lakeland felll rewarding those who scale its grassy slopes with a commanding view of south lakeland. Its unrivaled view straight down Windermere is far better than one might expect from a relatively small fell. Wansfell is best approached from Ambleside, it is fairly easy to make a curcuit which takes in Troutbeck which is a pleasant little village.
